Be An Online Missionary 

The Online Missions Ministry is an opportunity for Christians who have a disability – along with their friends, loved ones, disability ministry advocates, workers and ministers – to share the Good News of Jesus and their faith with people from all over the world who are searching online for God and spiritual help.  

Through the Online Missions program with Joni and Friends and GMO, whether motivated from having a disability or not or because of your loving concern for people who have a disability, you will receive the training and a safe, online environment to learn how to share Jesus with others and help them grow spiritually. Then we bring seekers to you so you can communicate the gospel to them, pray for them, and help move them to maturity in Christ.

Salvation is really the first step of a lifelong journey with Jesus. Many people make an initial decision, but don’t know where to go from there. Through online Bible studies, websites with next steps for the journey, and links to local church communities, you can help guide new believers and recommitting Christians and help them with their questions. Many online missionaries also see their own spiritual life grow as they learn scripture from answering questions and often find they have a greater vision for world missions.

Step 3: We train you on how to respond to the emails from seekers

If you meet the following qualifications, you can apply to be an Online Missionary:

1. You will be asked to provide the name and e-mail address of a spiritual leader who can give a reference for you (such as your Bible study leader, mentor or pastor). This should NOT be an immediate family member. 

2. Due to legal restrictions, our Online Missionaries must meet the minimum requirement of being at least 18 years of age. 

3. You must have reliable access to the internet and agree to check your account regularly (at least 2 or 3 times a week).

4. Our Online Missionaries minister to people with a wide variety of needs and questions, so it is important to have had a significant experience in walking with the Lord. Online Missionaries should be Christ followers for at least two years.

5. After your application is approved, you will receive a link to the Training Materials. When you have completed the materials, you will be sent to a form to tell us that you're ready to start receiving emails.
